Would you like to Flourish with confidence? Is there anything holding you back? Flourish is an 8 week one-2-one transformative therapeutic and coaching package. It’s roots are in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy both evidence based psychotherapies.

The first session is to find out about you. This is known as an assessment session, the aim is to gather information to lay the foundations for the following sessions. Values, goals, history will be explored as well as thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Your therapist will begin to create a working model known as a formulation and explore confidence roadblocks and self-limiting beliefs. You will also be sent questionnaires relating to anxiety, mood and lifestyle.
Learn to be Present
This session will focus on learning to be present. It will begin with an introduction to mindful awareness, using your senses to be grounded in the present moment. We will explore why this is important and work with breath to increase sense of being embodied. Being present has been shown to reduced anxiety, increase confidence, improve mood and have a positive impact on creativeness, concentration and focus.
Many of us avoid something in our lives. This may be something physical such as public speaking or it may be thoughts or emotions. This session will focus on any avoidance that may be getting in your way. Safety seeking and unhelpful behaviours will also be explored. Often we are not aware of the things we do that get in the way of us living the life we want.
Understanding thoughts and emotions
Using techniques from CBT and ACT you will learn to become aware of thinking styles and accept and defuse unhelpful thoughts and emotions. Learning to defuse from thoughts allows us to realise that we are not our thoughts. We may not be able to choose what enters our mind, but we can choose what to do with them.
Exploring qualities, skills, thinking styles and Psychological flexibility. Motivation and procrastination, What is getting in the way? Committed action to values. Recognise that limits are only where we set them.
What is self-compassion? We will complete functional analysis of self-criticism and begin compassionate imagery work. Increased self-compassion leads to increased self-esteem and confidence. Often it is our inner critique that is holding us back.
Slow down and reflect
This session will be to reflect on what has been learnt, gained and helpful so far. Further mindfulness exercises will be introduced. This session also gives you to opportunity to revisit anything that has been covered in previous sessions.
Here and Now
The present moment: attitude of gratitude and other techniques from positive psychology will be covered. 'Future you' imagery will be conducted to conclude the flourish programme. You now have the skills and knowledge to flourish with confidence!!

The techniques can benefit each of us. They are rooted in science and all evidence based.
If following your initial session it is established that another form of therapy would be more suitable for you then we can discuss this further. For example, if someone has a diagnosis of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and this is the area they wish to work on. It is probably that a course Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with a focus on Exposure and response prevention will be more recommended and you will be assisted with.
You will be refunded 85% of the package cost.
£800.00 for 8 sessions. This included mid week 'check in', this is usually in the form of an email.
Each session is 60 minutes each week for 8 weeks. In the event of holidays or sickness or other life events sessions can be postponed by or week two. 24 hours to rearrange an appointment is required.
To get the most from the package in between session tasks will be discussed and collaboratively set. These are often based on the previous session or preparation for the next session such as practicing the exercises, answering questions or recording, behaviours, thoughts.
Yes sessions are confidential and are conducted over a secure video conferencing platform. A therapy agreement will be discussed and signed prior to the first session. This will detail instances when confidentiality may have to be broken, for example when risk to life or others is involved.
